Two days out at the 'Railway' shows...
Over the weekend of 11th - 12th February 2023 the Skytrex team was at the first Railway show that we’ve attended this year.
The Festival of British Railway Modelling at the Doncaster Racecourse was a mixed event between O-Gauge and OO-Gauges and opened its doors promptly at 09:30 and very quickly started to fill up with a lot of people.
Whether people had come to look around for the best new additions to pick up and add to their collections, to look at the various fantastic displays or a healthy combination of the two there was something on show for everyone both ‘young’ and the ‘not so young...’
As the first Railway show that I have attended since joining Skytrex in December 2022 it was a wonderful experience and great to meet and talk to so many passionate hobbyists.
The Overlord Display contained a huge stretch of WW2 dock and ships which was fantastic to see and put me in mind of our Cruel Seas range.
It was only right to introduce their Vospers to some of our 1/300th Scale ones after all...
One of the first things I also noticed while walking around the hall when I had the chance was just how many of the displays were incorporating a good number of varied Skytrex products into their displays.
The next event Skytrex will be attending is the O-Gauge - Guild Spring Show which is taking place on 4th March at The Arena in Kettering Leisure Village. So if you’re already attending (or are going to be in the area and want to check it out) come and say hi to us.
Tickets for the show are available here if you haven’t already got yours yet.
